Common questions

I can't get my NFC implant to scan

Make sure the USB NFC reader is plugged in, the SkinID menu-bar app shows “Bridge running”, and you're holding the implant steady for 1-2 seconds on the reader surface. On iPhone, hold the implant against the top-back of the phone when prompted.

The Safari extension isn't appearing

Open the SkinID app at least once, then go to Safari → Settings → Extensions (on Mac) or Safari → aA button → Manage Extensions (on iPhone) and enable SkinID. If it still doesn't appear, reboot your device.

I lost my implant. How do I access my account?

Email us at support@skinid.ch from the address associated with your account. We'll verify your identity and help you link a replacement implant.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the management panel, go to Settings → Delete Account, scan your implant to confirm. All your data is erased within 24 hours. Alternatively, email support@skinid.ch and we'll handle it for you.

The app crashes or shows an error

Check you're on the latest version (App Store → Updates). If the issue persists, email us with your device model, OS version, and a short description of what you were doing.
